The Safe Care Abuse Prevention Train-the-Trainer session will prepare people to teach participants how to manage their own stress triggers and reduce tension in client or resident situations. After attending, trainers will be prepared to deliver this 4-part training in 30-minute segments to fit your internal training schedules. A comprehensive Facilitator Guide, handouts, and training tips are provided.
You will register two trainers from your site to attend the training in order to facilitate the training at your site.
The goals of the 4-part training series are to help your staff:
· Build relationships and empathy. (Module 1; 30 minutes)
· Recognize triggers that may lead to abuse. (Module 2; 30 minutes)
· Improve self-awareness about reacting in stressful situation. (Module 3; 30 minutes)
· De-escalate potentially harmful situations. (Module 4; 30 minutes)
