On Tuesday, April 8 the Minnesota State Legislature passed a bill that will allow first responders, health care providers and childcare workers to be “presumptively eligible” for workers' compensation if they get COVID-19. The legislation is effective April 8 and is in place until May 1, 2020. This webinar will discuss the legislation and its potential impact on aging services organizations.

    • Discuss this time-limited expansion of Minnesota’s workers compensation law and who would qualify for it before and after April 8, 2020. • Understand how this new law will interact with current sick leave benefits under the Emergency Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). • Know what documentation is required as proof for an individual’s workers comp claim.
