Due to the COVID-19 pandemic adult day services programs were closed in order to protect participants, their families and staff. Recognizing there was still a need to serve older adults and people with disabilities that are in high-risk groups related to COVID-19, the state sought federal approval of Alternative Adult Day Services. This webinar will discuss what those services are, how and where they can be delivered and how they are paid for.
• Become familiar with the Minnesota Department of Human Services Bulletin #20-25-01 – the document that describes this program and gives guidance to adult day services providers.
• Identify the services covered under Minnesota’s new Alternative Adult Day Services program and what limits have been set for them.
• Understand that the rates vary by type of waiver the adult day services participant has.
• Describe the requirements for participation in the new Alternative Adult Day Services program.
