PURPOSE
The Assisted Living Licensure rules adopted by the Minnesota Department of Health
(MDH) include extensive requirements for disaster planning and emergency preparedness.
Effective August 1, the MDH rule incorporates federal preparedness standards, which
take “all hazards” approach to ensure adequate planning for both natural and man-made
disasters. This intensive program will provide a detailed overview of the new requirements
and offer practical advice for developing an emergency operations plan that is tailored and
scaled to fit your specific organization.
