PURPOSE
Care centers that participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs are required to be in compliance with the
recently updated Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidance on minimum health and safety
standards in Long-Term Care (LTC) Facilities by Oct. 24, 2022.
Part 5 – Binding Arbitration Agreements
CMS’ new guidance on binding arbitration agreements provides additional detail about the requirements and
how surveyors should inspect for compliance. This webinar will cover what organizations that offer binding
arbitration agreements to residents need to review with their legal counsel to ensure all is in order.
